Attic Insulation Before & After Photos

This homeowner living in Annapolis, MD was suffering from cold drafts in their home. The homeowner decided to call Complete Home Solutions to find a solution to their home. Our Auditor found that the home had ineffective insulation. Our production team used blown in cellulose to better insulate the attic and save energy.

This homeowner has a gorgeous home in Sunderland, Maryland. She's completely in love with it...except for when winter hits. The rooms get really cold and she is constantly turning up her thermostat, costing her a lot of money in utility bills. Fortunately, she found out about Complete Home Solutions and wanted us to come out before the weather got too cold.

We came and performed a Home Energy Audit to find out how to help this homeowner. We found that most of her problems stemmed from her attic's poor insulation. To fix this, we first constructed an insulation dam around the attic access hatch so that we could uniformly apply additional insulation. We then were able to install 8" of loose fill cellulose insulation, bringing the attic's insulation levels to R-49, which is the industry standard for our climate zone. Thanks to these upgrades, the homeowner can rest assured that she will stay nice and warm this coming winter!

This homeowner has happily lived in Churchton, Maryland for a number of years and has always enoyed the house that she lives in. Somewhat recently, though, she heard from a relative of hers about Complete Home Solutions. One of the first things that we did was to install an attic tent over the attic hatch opening (which is what you see in these pictures). This was an important installation since the attic opening is such a large area and can allow a lot of codinitioned air to escape. Beyond that, we also installed 8" of loose fill cellulose insulation, which brought the insulation levels to R-49 (the recommended BPI standard for our climate zone). Since these upgrades, the homeowner has already noticed how much more comfortable her home has  become!

After making a visit to her home, we discovered how much air was being lost through this homeowner's attic. Without proper air sealing or the right kind of insulation, your attic can cost you a lot of energy and heat. We fixed both of those problems, installing our special blown in cellulose insulation. We were happy to fix this uncomfortable home!

This home in Huntingtown, MD has been struggling to stay cool and the homeowners felt that their Air Conditioning unit just couldn't keep up.  The homeowner called Complete Home Solutions to help pinpoint what could be causing the house to be so uncomfortable.  Our home comfort professional visited the home and found that the attic wasn't properly sealed and insulated.   To fix this our Production Crews came to the home and air sealed all the top plates, around the gable wall, and any cracks or leaks surrounding the duct work and light fixtures. Once the entire attic was sealed our Team blew-in brand new Cellulose Insulation on top of the existing fiberglass insulation to reduce the air leaking out of the attic.
