Attic Insulation Before & After Photos

This family was a military family. They moved around a lot, but always made wherever they ended up feel like home. That's why they were concerned when they started their next adventure here in Huntingtown, Maryland. After having only lived in their home for a short while, they already began to notice quite a few drafts and their furnace constantly running. They decided to look up a professional in their area to help make their new home comfortable.

Our Home Comfort Specialist made a visit out to the house to figure out where improvements could be made. He found that the attic  needed some serious updating! There was some very old insulation and no air sealing. No wonder there were so many drafts! We made the necessary improvements to the home and the result was an extremely happy family! 

This Homeowner called Complete Home Solutions becuase they were experiencing much colder temperatures in the upstairs of their home in the wintertime.  They were very UNCOMFORTABLE in their bedrooms and told us that they often used electric blankets to keep themselves warm.  We found that this attic had little to no insulation and had never been air sealed to prevent heat loss.  The result was an extremely drafty and uncomfortable home!  This homeowner also mentioned they were not too fond of the utility bill either since it was taking more energy to properly heat the home. 

Complete Home Solutions installed an insulated storage deck to provide access in the attic area for storage, air sealed the attic floor to prevent air leakage and installed a thick blanket of blown cellulose insulation. 

The result an extremely Happy Homeowner, who now can sleep at night in comfort and peace of mind knowing they are saving money on their utility costs!

Insufficient attic insulation and unsealed holes in this attic caused energy loss in the home and caused higher heating and cooling bills. To solve this concern, Complete Home Solution's Installation Team removed the existing insulation and replaced it with Dr. Energy Saver's recommended levels of blown-in cellulose insulation.

This homeowner's house in North Beach, MD was extremely drafty. It was especially noticeable in the summer and winter (and drove her utility bills way up). She got into contact with Complete Home Solutions so we could perform an energy audit for her and find out where the problem areas in her house really were. 

We found a few problem areas - the one pictured here is her attic. The insulation was old and not doing the best job at insulating her home. We installed blown-in cellulose insulation. This home in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland suffered from cold drafts and uncomfortable temperatures in the home.
