Attic Insulation Before & After Photos

This homeowner living in Benedict, Maryland could not seem to keep her house at a comfortable temperature. It was always either too hot or too cold. Complete Home Solutions stepped into the picture and quickly figured out what needed to be done to make this home comfortable. 

We found that the attic in this house was under-insulated and lacked air sealing. Both are things that we can fix! We had to take out some of the old insulation to get to the attic floor where we sealed up all of those nooks and crannies that were leaking air. We then installed enough cellulose insulation to bring this attic up to R-49 (as recommended by BPI for our climate zone). We have now created an extremely efficient, comfortable, and healthy home for this family. 

This homeowner was having some issues with her roof leaking. She got the roof fixed, but some of her insulation in the attic got wet and damaged. She wanted a reliable contractor to come and fix her problem. She found Complete Home Solutions. 

Not only were we able to replace the damaged insulation, but we also air sealed any cavities and penetrations that we found, installed a Super Platform Catwalk/ Insulation Dam (so that the owner can access her HVAC system and walk around), and installed more of our TruSoft cellulose insulation, bringing insulation levels to R-49 (the BPI standard for our climate zone). This homeowner now has a dry attic and a more energy efficient home.

Our Team performed a Home Energy Audit to identify where the home was leaking air and areas in need of insulation. We air sealed the attic to prevent future air leakage, replaced baffles to help with air circulation, and installed blown in cellulose insulation to make the home more comfortable and energy efficient.
