Attic Insulation Before & After Photos

This homeowner living in Harwood, Maryland was dreading the cold winter winter season that is coming up because she knew that her home wasn't going to be able to keep her warm. She remembered hearing about our company, Complete Home Solutions, and was willing to give us a try.

We were able to come out to her home and perform a Home Energy Audit. We discovered that her attic was one of the main reasons that her home couldn't hold heat. The insulation that was already installed was just not cutting it. In order to fix this, we performed a variety of upgrades, but the most important ones involved air sealing and insulation. We had to first construct what we call an "insulation dam" around the attic hatch opening to create a barrier. Afterwards, we were able to insulate exposed knee-wall areas with Polyiso Foam Board and install 8" of TruSoft cellulose insulation. Together, these upgrades were able to make a drastic difference. In the few cold nights that we've already had, the homeowner was able to feel completely comfortable in her own home.  

This homeowner living in Aquasco, Maryland thought that he was paying way too much in utility bills. He knew that there were ways to make his house more energy efficient, but he didn't know what exactly he should do. So, he called up a professional, Complete Home Solutions, to figure it out. 

We provided the homeowner with several solutions to his home energy problem. The biggest solution involved weatherizing his attic. We air sealed the floors and walls of the attic and then installed TruSoft cellulose insulation in order to create a thermal barrier that would stop air from leaking out. He now has a house that is much more energy efficient and costs him much less in utility bills!

Our Auditor performed a home energy audit to determine where the home was leaking air. The Production crew provided air sealing to prevent future air leakage. We also removed the boards in the atic that were compressing the existing insulation. We added Blown in Cellulose insulation to R-49 value to lower the home's high  energy bills and improve the overall comfort.

The production crew provided air sealing to prevent future air leakage, and installed blown-in cellulose insulation in the attic to improve the overall comfort of the home.

This homeowner in Prince Frederick, MD was struggling to keep cold air inside and the homeowner was fed up with their high utility bills so they called Complete Home Solutions for help.  The homeowner requested an appointment to have an audit done.  During the appointment, our Home Comfort Specialist found that the attic wasn't properly sealed and the existing insulation wasn't up to the recommmended standards.  The homeowner decided to have the work performed that was recommended by our Home Comfort Specialis.  Our production crews came in and air sealed all the top plates, the gable wall, around the duct work, and after everything was air sealed our crew finished off the attic by blowing in Cellulose insulation until it reached the proper R-Value.    The homeowner is happy that they called upon us to fix this issue for them.
