Jay's home in Shady Side, MD sat in a low-lying area in which water and humidity were prominent and causing issues underneath his home William took the right first step by calling Complete Home Solutions to assess the problem. Upon arrival, our trained Home Comfort Specialist began his analysis in the crawl space of the home, where he discovered several key indicators of William's uncomfortable first floor. With standing water in the crawl space and insulation that was in pretty rough shape, it was easy to determine the route that needed to be taken to fix the problem.
On the day of the installation, our crew began by removing all of the old batt insulation from the floor joist above, before laying down our 20mill CleanSpace vapor barrier, which when bolted to the wall creates a seal on the ground of the crawls space, making sure moisture and critters can not make their way in from below. They then sprayed the area with our 2 part closed cell spray foam insulation to all of the exterior walls. The final step to this encapsulation was to install a dehumidifier which was set to a consistent 50-55% humidity. Jay noticed an immediate difference in the floor temperature of his home and cant wait to see the difference as the weather outside begins to change.

After another summer of nasty crawl spaces, it was a pleasant surprise for our crew to see this Shady Side, MD crawl space. Brandon's crawl space was not in bad shape when we entered, however, it was not set up to keep external temperatures from entering the crawl space and affecting the comfort of his home. On the day of the job our crew began by installing our Clean space vapor barrier which when bolted to the walls of the crawl space creates a seal that prevents any moisture or pest from entering the crawl from below. Following the installation of the vapor barrier, our Technicians used a 2 part closed cell spray foam to insulate and seal the walls. This process restricts any air from coming through the vents or cinder blocks in the crawl. The final step of this encapsulation is to install a dehumidifier that regulates the humidity to a consistent 50-55%.These improvements will help the temperatures throughout the home, as well as prevent any moisture damage that may arise in the future.

While you can't tell from the old insulation and all the dirt and debris, Both of these pictures are looking at the same wall in the crawl space in this Prince Frederick, MD home. Cheyanne lives in a waterfront community, and in the summer moisture and humidity take over her home. She took the right first steps by calling Complete Home Solutions to assess the problem, and after a full evaluation of the home, our Home Comfort Specialist recommended a Crawl Space Encapsulation. On the day of the encapsulation, our Home Comfort Technicians began by removing the old vapor barrier and insulation from the crawl space., this provided an empty area to begin the transformation. Following the installation of the vapor barrier, our Technicians used a 2 part closed cell spray foam to insulate and seal the walls. This process restricts any air from coming through the vents or cinder blocks in the crawl. The final step of this encapsulation is to install a dehumidifier that regulates the humidity to a consistent 50-55%.
