This homeowner in La Plata, MD called Complete Home Solutions stating her home had become much harder to keep comfortable. Our Home Comfort Specialist was able to conduct a Home Energy Audit to determine ways this home could improve its a comfort, as well as its efficiency. One recommendation was to address the insulation issues in the home attic. The home currently had old cellulose throughout the attic that wasn't near enough o help insulate the home, as well as A/C ducts that were in need of duct foaming. Before We Got Started

This is what the attic looked like before we got started. While the home had existing Cellulose insulation in the attic, it was not nearly enough to properly insulate the home. The duct work was not insulated at all, this allowed air to escape as it was being blown through the house.

Removal of the Insulation

Our Crew began by removing the old insulation from the attic. This provides us a clean work space to start our work.

Air Sealing the Attic

By air sealing the attic it prevents air from escaping out of the home through any cracks that may be in seams or light fixtures around the attic floor.
