Old Insulation
First we have to remove the old batt insulation, this also helps make the prep work easier on the crew.
Air Sealing With One-Part Foam
Once the old insulation is gone, they start the prep work by air sealing all top plates and gable walls to prevent air leakage in the home.
Baffles Installed and Sealed
While air sealing, they also install baffles. These block insulation from clogging your soffit, which allows air to move within the attic after the new blown-in cellulose insulation is installed.
The Final Step: Insulation
The final step is to install flags over anything of importance (light fixtures, electric boxes, etc), so anyone can find them in the future after everything has been blown over. Once that's done, it's time to install the new insulation!
The Right Measurement
We always make sure we get the level of cellulose right thanks to the measuring sticks! Job completed!
