Crawl space without any spray foam
In this picture, we started installing the encapsulation liner already. The old BATT insulation is still up in the ceiling (not really doing an effective job at all) and the walls are completely exposed, allowing for "bad" air to leak right in!
Spray Foamed Walls
Here you can see how we've applied our spray foam over the walls to stop and air leaks that create moist, uncomfortable, and unhealthy crawl spaces.
Crawl-O-Sphere ventilation
The orange box in this picture is what we call a "Crawl-O-Sphere." This is an important final step to our encapsulation process. Now that we have essentially brought the crawl space into the house's "conditioned" area, we have to make sure that it is being properly ventilated to keep it at the proper temperature for maximum comfort.
Crawl space CleanSpace Encapsulation
This is what a dry, comfortable crawl space looks like. The old BATT insulation is gone (we took all that out) and finished installing the encapsulation liner. If you look at the walls you can see how we covered them completely with our spray foam. Together, these upgrades will ensure a warm, healthy home!
