Breakfast Club Updates

With only two more weeks to go until the Summer Breakfast Club program ends, over 1,000 breakfasts have been delivered this summer so far. This is the first year that Complete Home Solutions has participated and it's been a joy to be involved in this program.

It's been a busy summer so far.  Complete Home Solutions Staff has helped with picking up truckloads of food at Sam's Club to stock the pantry and has helped with deliveries each Friday to the Lyons Creek Mobile Home Estates.

Between the two mobile home estate deliveries, Breakfast Club participants have been delivering over 200+ breakfasts each weekday.  On Fridays a larger bag of groceries is given to families to provide help over the weekend.

It's a busy schedule for everyone involved!  There is a coalition of churches that work together (spearheaded by Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Lothian, MD) to make all this happen.  Complete Home Solutions found out about this great work in the community and volunteered to help as a local business.

There are numerous people each day that volunteer to pack breakfast bags for the next week day.  Milk is ordered and delivered to the pantry and Sam's Club orders are placed for pick up frequently.

It's a lot of coordination for the Chief Coordinator Ann Herche - but it's been a joy to serve together in this ministry and see the children and families each Friday. Even though we get there early on Friday mornings, the kids are lined up and waiting for us to arrive!
