April is 'Keep America Beautiful Month'

Keep America Beautiful Month is focused on litter prevention, waste reduction, recycling, and community beautification. Here are some ways to help support that cause. 

-RECYCLE! Recycling is easy and keeps unnecessary waste out of landfills.

-Plant species of plants that are native to your area. Planting species that are native to where you and your family live require less maintenance than non-native species and makes your landscape look pretty.

- Pick up litter around your community and encourage your community to help out too. 

-Keep reusable bags in your car and while shopping by products that use the least amount of packaging to keep more waste out of landfill.  

-If you smoke try not to throw cigarettes out your car window, they may be small but they make up a large amount of existing litter. 

These are just a few ways to help clean up and make America beautiful.
